Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze the main digital tools of diplomatic simulation through the experience of their application in the subjects taught by the author. In all modalities of that kind of simulation it is possible to have digital resources for its development, standing out for its popularity MyDiplomat, a free app that offers three simulation models of MUN (United Nations Model). To represent a virtual diplomatic simulation of the MUN, as in extended reality, the synchronous development of the activity is implicit. The most complete asynchronous modality for experiential learning purposes has been the diplomatic simulation of a bilateral conflict, according to models developed by American Space. The aim is to confirm that in a post-pandemic environment back to normality, the fully face-to-face diplomatic simulation modality has been recovered, although the synchronous modalities in extended reality and fully virtual are maintained, without losing sight of the practical but incomplete utility of other asynchronous and virtual diplomatic simulations.
