Editorial Team Functions

Founding Editors
• Serve as honorary representatives of the journal
• Recommend the inclusion of the journal in national and international indexing databases
• Suggest changes and improvements to the journal’s editorial content

Editors-in-Chief
• Officially and legally represent the journal
• Ensure the quality and diversity of the journal’s content
• Coordinate the Editorial and Scientific Committees
• Oversee compliance with the journal’s editorial policies and standards
• Nominate reviewers for the evaluation of submitted manuscripts
• Communicate decisions regarding the receipt, acceptance, and rejection of manuscripts
• Ensure that reviewers’ recommendations are properly addressed and implemented
• Collaborate in maintaining and supporting the technical aspects of the editorial process

Associated Editor
• Serve as the institutional liaison between the journal and its co-publishing institution, Texas A&M International University
• Contribute to the preservation, safeguarding, and continuity of the journal’s historical, documentary, and editorial archive within the Texas Digital Library.

Editorial Committee
• Evaluate whether the manuscript is related to the journal’s topic
• Assess whether the manuscript’s form (drafting, writing, references) is consistent with that of a scientific article
• Accept or reject the submitted manuscripts for peer review
• Propose reviewers for the articles

Scientific Committee
• Advise and evaluates the journal
• Provide scientific support for the publication
• Promote the journal in international settings

Reviewers
• Provide observations on the scientific quality of the articles (originality, relevance, structure, content, writing and references)
• Integrally review the contents of the manuscripts
• Improve the formal presentation of manuscripts trough recommendations.
